These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of www.akacashipping.com and consultancy services provided by Nisa M. Akaca trading as Akaca Shipping Consultancy.

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Our Services

We provide independent logistics and supply chain consultancy, including:

  • Sea, road and air freight consultancy;

  • Warehousing and stock-management consultancy;

  • Customs and import/export guidance;

  • Shipping-document reviews;

  • Logistics planning and staff training.

The exact service, fees and timeframe will be confirmed in a quotation, proposal or written agreement.

3. Consultancy Role

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, Akaca Shipping Consultancy acts as a consultant only.

We are not a freight carrier, freight forwarder, warehouse operator, customs agent, insurer or owner of the goods.

Third-party transport, storage, customs or related services are provided under the relevant provider’s own terms. We are not responsible for their acts, delays, charges, loss or damage.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate and complete information about their goods and requirements.

Customers remain responsible for:

  • Declaring dangerous, restricted, fragile or perishable goods;

  • Obtaining licences, permits and insurance;

  • Checking documents before approval;

  • Complying with customs and trade regulations;

  • Paying agreed fees and third-party charges.

We are not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate, incomplete or late information.

5. Quotations and Payment

Quotations are valid for the period stated in the relevant document or, if no period is stated, for 30 days.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Invoices must be paid within 30 days;

  • Prices exclude VAT where applicable;

  • Third-party expenses may be charged separately;

  • Advance payment may be required;

  • Services may be suspended if payment is overdue.

For business transactions, we may charge statutory interest and permitted recovery costs on overdue invoices.

6. Customs, Delivery and Third Parties

Freight prices, transit times, customs charges and delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing by the responsible provider.

We cannot guarantee customs clearance, delivery times, commodity-code acceptance or the amount of taxes and duties.

We are not responsible for delays, loss, damage or additional costs caused by carriers, customs authorities, warehouses or other third parties.

Customers should arrange suitable cargo and transit insurance.

7. Liability

We will provide our consultancy services with reasonable care and skill.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profits, business interruption or losses caused by third-party providers.

Our total liability relating to a consultancy service will not exceed the consultancy fees paid for that service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Cancellation

Cancellation requests must be sent to info@akacashipping.com.

Cancellations and refunds will be handled in accordance with the terms stated in the relevant quotation, proposal or written agreement. Work already completed and reasonable costs already incurred may remain payable.
